This policy explains how Window Nine Ltd. uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between page loads — a login, a preference, or an anonymous identifier. Similar technologies (localStorage, pixels, SDKs) do the same job by different means; we use “cookies” here to cover all of them.

2. The cookies we use

Three categories, in increasing order of optionality:

EssentialNot required

Make the site work: security, load balancing and remembering your cookie choice itself. The site cannot function without them.Duration: Session, or up to 12 months for the consent record.

AnalyticsConsent required

Tell us which pages are read, where visitors come from and where they give up — in aggregate. We use this to make the site better, not to profile you.Duration: Up to 26 months.

MarketingConsent required

Set by advertising platforms (such as Meta, Google or TikTok) to measure campaigns and show relevant ads elsewhere. Only loaded if you accept.Duration: Typically 90 days to 24 months, set by the third party.

3. How the consent banner works

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories loads until you answer.
Your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key cookie-consent — so we can respect it on every later visit without asking again.
If you decline, only essential cookies run. The site works exactly the same; we just see less about how it is used.

4. Withdrawing consent

Changed your mind? Any of these works:

Clear this site’s data in your browser (often under Settings → Privacy → Site data). That deletes the cookie-consent record and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Block or delete cookies through your browser’s controls — every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you block third-party cookies or all cookies, per site or globally.
Email hello@windownine.com and we will help you work out what is set and how to clear it.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done while consent stood.

5. Third-party cookies

Some pages embed services hosted by others — video players, scheduling widgets, maps. Those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control. Where an embed would set non-essential cookies, we gate it behind the same consent as everything else. The advertising platforms we work with for client campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok) set cookies on their own sites and on our clients’ sites under their own terms — see our Privacy Policy for how that sharing works.
